Derby St Peters Christmas Appeal

Image description

The Derby St Peters Way Salon situated in the Westfield Centre came up with a novel idea to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. During December clients made a donation to the charity and tied Pink Ribbons on the Salons Christmas Tree.

The Event raised £242.00 !!!

The Salon is part of the Keith Hall Hairdressing Group who have donated over £20,000 to the charity and on top of that they have committed to a year of fundraising activities. By the end of March next year they anticipate the total raised will be £40,000.

Salon Director James Gould said "Our Salon team are also doing their bit to raise funds and awareness by dressing head to toe in pink on selected days. On those days they will also make a donation to Breakthrough to boost our funds.

"As a group we employ a high proportion of women and around 80% of our clients are female. Breast cancer claims the lives of over 1,000 women a month in the UK alone and is the number one health concern for women in the UK. This is why we have committed to Breakthrough Breast Cancer - the UK's leading breast cancer charity committed to fighting breast cancer through research, campaigning and education."

If you would like to make a donation to Breakthrough Breast Cancer call in at the Salon - 1 St Peters Way, The Westfield Centre, Derby or telephone 01332 372237.
