Claire, stylist at the salon in Market Street, Ashby, said she was looking forward to the challenge: “This is the fourth time I will have run the 5km race and am interested to see if I can beat last years finishing time – am I any fitter than last year? But most importantly we will be running – or walking – to raise awareness of breast cancer and to raise money for research into prevention and cures.”
Joining Claire will be her mum, Christine, and friends Karen, Stephanie and Jennifer Lane.
Keith Hall Hairdressing’s Ashby salon is selling Breakthrough’s charity pins – including the iconic pink ribbon pin - and help to promote Breakthrough’s breast awareness message which encourages women to show their breasts some TLC: Touch their breasts and feel for anything unusual. Look for changes and be aware of their shape and texture and check anything unusual with their doctor and chat with friends if they are worried.
